- Academic Profile: High school or educational institution name and current grade level (e.g., Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior).
- Clinical Interests: Prospective medical specialty of interest (e.g., OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Cardiology, Pediatrics).
- Personal Statement: Answers regarding your clinical aspirations, questions, and reasons for joining Sisters in Scrubs.
- Optional Member Spotlight Media: Your Instagram username handle and optional photograph, provided voluntarily if you wish to be featured in our student member spotlight.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information strictly for legitimate organizational and educational purposes:
- Reviewing and processing student applications for new cohort entry.
- Sending welcome materials, event notifications, meeting schedules, and workshop details.
- Curating and publishing student member spotlights on our official Instagram channel (@sisterhood_inscrubs) only when explicitly authorized by the applicant.
- Maintaining organizational records of active student membership.
3. Data Protection & Third-Party Services
We implement modern security practices to protect your submissions from unauthorized access, modification, or exposure:
- Encrypted Transmission: All data transmitted between your browser and our forms is encrypted via Secure Sockets Layer / Transport Layer Security (HTTPS/TLS).
- Form Processing: Application form submissions are routed securely via our FormSubmit gateway directly to our verified leadership inbox (
asister.inscrubs@gmail.com). - No Commercial Tracking: We do not deploy third-party advertising trackers, profiling cookies, or marketing analytics networks.
4. Cookies & Browser Storage
We keep browser storage simple and transparent:
- Essential Cookies (Always On): These keep our website secure, prevent spam, and save your application form answers in your browser so you don’t lose your work if you accidentally refresh the page. These cannot be turned off because the site needs them to work properly.
- Anonymous Visit Stats (Optional): Helps our student leadership see which medical specialty guides and pre-med resources high school students visit most often so we can make them better. These counts are completely anonymous and never tracked with your name, email, or identity.

5. Student Safety & Minors
Because Sisters in Scrubs serves high school students, many of our applicants may be under the age of 18. We take special precautions to safeguard student safety:
- We only collect information relevant to educational activities, pre-med mentoring, and student leadership.

- Parents or guardians may contact our leadership at any time to review, modify, or request deletion of their child’s submitted application or media.

- Request immediate correction or deletion of your membership record.
- Request removal of your photograph or handle from our Instagram member spotlight.
